There are a lot of things we shouldn’t eat and then there are some for which we should have ZERO TOLERANCE. Here are two common things that we should never eat. They used to be ubiquitous. The food industry is getting better about these two criminals but they are still common.
1. HYDROGENATED OR PARTIALLY HYDROGENATED OILS
Hydrogenation is the process of forcing hydrogen gas into the oil at very high temperatures to change the molecular structure and convert safer unsaturated fats into dangerous trans-fats
2. HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP
Emerging evidence suggests that HFCS may increase the risk of metabolic syndrome (deterioration of your metabolism) and a cluster of other health problems such as insulin resistance, high blood pressure, obesity and high blood triglycerides. It now appears to affect our brain! Like hydrogenated fats, fructose sweeteners also increase belly fat. They are changing and adding names for HFCS so fast it is hard to keep up with the shell game so read your labels and suspect anything you don’t recognize.
